Legacy Timber is a fourth generation family business which was established by Alexander Provan in 1910, in Whangarei, New Zealand. The company has changed over the years, originally starting out as a commercial and residential building company, then manufacturing and exporting mouldings and furniture components to Japan, Europe and USA, to the present day focus on design and manufacturing of Hold products.
Legacy maintains its underlying commitment to our core values of People, Passion, Quality and Innovation. These are values which give meaning to Legacy’s business and creative processes, and which provide an environment within which innovation can flourish.
The company’s commitment to solid wood as our primary raw material of choice still remains strong. Hold has recently been exhibited in Milan, Paris, New York and Tokyo and in 2008 won its first design award at New Zealand’s ‘Best’ Awards.
