Waikato

The primary purpose of DesignProject is a platform to launch various design projects. David Gardener and Andrea Wilkinson are two who brought this collaboration together in their spare time while teaching design at Waikato Institute of Technology. Their first design project and exhibition, The means by which we find our way, was first shown in New Zealand in 2007 and is currently touring internationally.

Due to the amount of feedback and submissions they received, the project needed a physical home, and thus the project was developed further into a book: The means by which we find our way; Observations on Design. The book is not merely a catalogue of the exhibition but features the textual submissions they received.
