Bio/Company History:
2+ year old design company. The directors came together in their final year of design studies to form Ooid. Product design focused, mainly working on in-house based projects, some client work in product and graphic design.
What drives you:
We believe that thoughtful design can be cool, contemporary and fashionable and at the same time support sustainable, environmental and community building outcomes.
Inspiration:
Hot Beverages, Eclipse Mints, Cashew Nuts, Beer, Flight of the Conchords, Good Music, Nice office supplies.
What are you doing when you don’t do this?
We are never not doing this, we are always “researching” but when we aren’t “working”, other things you’ll find Team Ooid doing are, growing veges, playing “escape the room” computer games, cooking and eating, watching movies, biking, and inspecting the progress of our worm farms.
Black or white:
Kurt and Elizabeth are pakeha (european) (so high gloss white in winter, matte in summer). Machiko is Japanese, so off-white in winter and yellow-esque in summer!
Meat or Vege?
Meat AND vege. Preferably local. And fish too!
