The Story
The floor lamp was designed to be a flat pack lamp that had zero packaging. It was to use the structure of the lamp to be the packaging. As the lamp developed realities of transport made this not feasible. This idea of the lamp being the result of the packaging was carried through to the final, where the result of the lamp is not the lamp itself but the notable architectural shadows it casts.
