The Story
My designs are inspired by origami - the art of folding paper. I first became interested when I was taught how to fold paper birds as a child. Since then, the process of transformation from two dimensions to three has always fascinated me.
The Fold Dish is the second origami inspired design by Fold. I became interested in a certain folding technique I created that was inspired by water holding origami models. The dish is made from polypropylene, when folded acquires characteristics of rigidity and flex which gives the dish an unusual curvaceous form. The intended use is for storing/displaying fruit.
All waste polypropylene is recycled.
